EC Peiting lands Larry Mitchell as new head coach
Mitchell brings a wealth of experience to the Oberliga team
EC Peiting of the Oberliga has hired Larry Mitchell as their new head coach, the club announced on Tuesday. Mitchell, 56, brings a wealth of experience to the Oberliga team, having coached in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) for over 15 years.
Mitchell was most recently the head coach of the Augsburger Panther
Mitchell was most recently the head coach of the Augsburger Panther, where he led the team to the DEL playoffs in each of his four seasons at the helm. He also has experience coaching in the American Hockey League (AHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Mitchell, who played 13 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), brings a wealth of experience to Peiting.

Mitchell will begin his duties immediately
Mitchell will begin his duties immediately and will coach his first game on Friday when Peiting takes on the Starbulls Rosenheim.
