Rams Make Host of Roster Moves in Preparation of Week 2 Showdown With Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams Make Roster Moves Ahead of Week 2 Matchup
Inglewood, Calif. - The Los Angeles Rams have made a series of roster moves ahead of their Week 2 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, including waiving long snapper Carson Tinker and defensive back Paris Ford and promoting defensive back Jairus Pervical from the practice squad.
Tinker had been with the Rams since 2019, while Ford joined the team in 2021. Pervical has been with the Rams since 2020.
Rams Bolster Defense Ahead of Cardinals Clash
The Rams also signed defensive tackle Eric Banks and cornerback Derion Kendrick to the practice squad.
Banks has played in 16 games in his NFL career, including 14 with the Detroit Lions in 2021. Kendrick was a first-round pick by the Rams in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he was waived by the team in August.
The Rams are hoping that the addition of Banks and Kendrick will help to bolster their defense, which allowed 34 points in a Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Rams Look to Rebound Against Cardinals
The Rams will be looking to rebound from their Week 1 loss when they host the Cardinals on Sunday.
The Cardinals are coming off a 44-21 victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
The Rams and Cardinals are both 1-0 in the NFC West.
