A9 Kingussie Road Crash Leaves One Dead

Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the A9 near Kingussie at around 7pm on Saturday, 9th July

Police Scotland have confirmed that one person has sadly died following the crash and the road was closed for several hours to allow for investigation, recovery and road repairs.

Specialist officers are currently supporting the family of the deceased and enquiries into the cause of the collision are ongoing

Sergeant Alasdair Mackay from Dingwall Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the person who sadly died in this collision. Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing and we would urge any witnesses to the crash who have not yet come forward to do so."

Sergeant Mackay added: "We would also like to thank the members of the public who assisted at the scene and provided vital information to our officers
